Do you think the 350Z should be Turbo?

I think that if they make any modifications to the 350z it should be twin turbo. What do you think?

Hell yea they should make a turbo option... If they want to make this Z faster than all the ones before it (thats what Nissan has said), then a turbo would be an easy way

I know I will never be able to afford one, but I would love to see a turbo 350 anyways

Red face WHY?? WHYYYYYYY???

Why would they go from a GORGEOUS 1990-1996 TWINNNNNNNNN TURBO to N/A?? Y? the 300ZX is my absolute favorite car... why u ask? 3.0 V6 TWIN TURBO... i cant see any REAL reason y they would do away wit forced induction... i mean yeah SOMETIMES it causes problems but the reason 300ZXs have their elite popularity is because it had the most beautiful of beautiful powerplants! they DEFINITLEY need to come out wit a 350Z TT... (still i hear the N/A 350Z does 0-60 in about 5.4...not too shabby for the normally aspirated.)

BOOST IT...PLEASE!

Twin turbos are usually less reliable than NA
Require maintance that most idiot car owners can't do (change your oil regularly, let the turbos cool before you turn off the car)
Turbo Lag
300zx had drivablilty problems because the boost kicked in at weird times
Higher insurance costs (yes really)

Don't get me wrong, I loved the 300zx and turbos but Nissan is trying to appeal to the masses and the masses can't handle a turbo. The 350z is a nice improvement and a lot can be done with a NA engine. Slapping forced induction to anything with wheels isn't always the best answer.

If someone doesn't want turbo can't take care of one they can buy the N/A version.

The 350Z is actually more like 5.1-5.2 seconds.
That's what I've read in several places.

But idiots will buy the turbo because it is faster. Then they will complain about it or they will fuck up their turbo in 60k miles. That is why Nissan didn't make it a turbo. That is their reason, I never said I agreed with it.

Red face well duh...

well DUH! as long as there is forced induction there will alwayz be IDIOTZ abusin it and using it RONG. but still...the 300ZX (yummy) was a unique car...the fusion of beauty and power... it was the best! as far as single vs twin turboz goes... Twin Turboz r rare and come on...just face it....JUST PLAIN OLD COOL! just because people abuse or cant handle twin turbos (or ANY turbos) they shouldnt take it completely off the market. i mean there are still people that love the Z'z boosted! about the tryin to appeal to the masses...thatz tru...most people DONT want turbo carz...but for those die hard BOOST people...u GOTTA have a psi-ed version for them... i mean...at least SUPERCHARGE... oh well...itz ok...im sure they'll have aftermarket turbo kitz alllllllll over the place for the 350Z...guess we'll just have to wait and see...

But they made the choice to get the turbo and if they can't take care of
it, it is their fault and their problem.

There should at least be a choice.
It isn't like the N/A version is slow. And people buy 2.5rs wrx's, people
bought the 300zx N/A, and people buy the Z28 instead of the SS.

Nissan, Toyota and Mazda all made turbo cars and NOBODY BOUGHT THEM!!! They are car manufacturers, they have to make cars that most people want, not what YOU want. Blame consumers and their SUVs for lack of cool vehicles, not the manufacturers.

I didn't say they should just make a car that I want a said that there
should be a CHOICE. And what makes you think people didn't buy those cars just because they were turbo, it might have to do with other things besides the turbo.

I am not saying that they even have to make more turbo then N/A they can limit the # of turbo cars they make but it would be nice if they did make a turbo version and if they did that would help them meet their goal of making the fastes Z ever. What is the point of setting a goal and then saying oh well most people drive SUV's anyways. With a stance like that why even make a sports car. And just because most people drive SUV's doesn't mean that won't change. Trends change and it would be best if a car company keeps and open mind to that.

Don't just rule it out because most people drive SUV's.
