I got some Matrix pedals that have the bracket that goes around the pedals. Of course these will not work w/our gas pedal.

1. I used double sided tape to hold the pedal in place, after removing the brackets.

2. Then, after adjusting it to where I wanted, I made sure that one of the bolt holes lined up to where I could safely drill through the gas pedal.

3. I then took out one of the screws near the top of the pedal cover, that held the colored plate to the pedal cover, and drilled a hole a little larger than the bolt, through that screw hole.

4. Using the same drill bit, I then drilled a hole through the hole for the bolt on the pedal cover, through the gas pedal.

5. I used one of the back brackets to attach to bottom bolts at the bottom of the pedal. I was able to tighten the bolts w/that bracket tight enough to hold them in place.

6. I then drilled a hole through the top hole I made, through the gas pedal. I then put a bolt through this hole, to hold the cover in place.

That is where I got to. I need to get my dremmel tool out, and cut part of the back of the pedal out, so I can get a nut on the back of that top bolt. I will use a bracket that came in the package to do this.

Also, because the curve of the pedal does not match the curve of the cover, I intend to put one of the springs that was on one of the bolts in the space between gas pedal and pedal cover.

Also, this is very important!!!! cut the bolts!!!! The ones that came in my package, are too long, and snag the carpet. I need to use a cutting bit on my dremmel to cut them down. I also have snagged quite a few shoe laces on them.

I got pedals for my car, though I don't recall the brand. Look around different stores and shops, there are pedals that will fit our gas pedal. Mine has four brackets that hugs the entire pedal, I simply removed the upper bracket and only use three. It fits fine. I baught mine at a local shop, I know for sure you can find them at PepBoys or some online shops. They do exist, you just need to do a little searching.
