Window Motors....

Just replaced both of my window motors today. It was very simple and took about 3 hours eating crap.If any one needs to replace theirs on a 4th Gen car heres a great website with detailed instructions:

I saw the bumbers for the window which i was told are the cause of the scratches on the glass and i was wondering if could swap those and if so were would i get a pair. Any information about avoiding future scratches on the glass would be welcomed.

hey man..i see u have rims from '94.
i still have my old ones...less then 10k miles on them...u need um? i'll sell um cheap...even has old rubber on them...do some crazy burnouts if u want!

he has a 94 trans am with aftermarket rims, so he still got the stock rims and they are like new he could seel them to u cheap l guess and l guess thats what he meant.

well congratulations.. u replaced your window motors.. l need too but l will probably sell mine in a couple days.. so l dont bother.

yours is v6 f-body?

yeah i figure if ur car has high miles your wheels migt be chopped up....i have an exact replacement for you...mint condition.

no its a formula LT1.
The engine was rebuilt recently and the rims are a little wor but when i put new rims i want them to be thrust torque or ZO6.

well u got a good hood and do not get me wrong but those rims are really not good firebird.. as said, if u get a c06 rims or thrust torque, ur car will look bad ass..

man, are u talking about c06 rims?? well a long time ago on private message and on forum l mentioned that your car makes me crazy and it is so sexy and beatifull..

but those old rims, l just do not think they look good on firebird..they would look better on 4 hole cylinder civics

Hello,

I had the drivers side moter replaced today. The dealer wantred $470 total and I bought the part online for $30 and paid $140 (2 hr) labor.

The instructions at http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html looked GREAT but I have to work alot right now and simply didnt have the time as I wanted it done right away.

My message - despite if you do it or not DONT PAY A DEALER - it can be done for a $30 part and 2 hours labor from garage or 2-3 hours of your time.

yeah well im glad their fixed but i cannot afford to pay some one 140 to do one motor when i did both for free....it would have ran me 280 just to install them... forget that.... and i enjoy getting to know my car

lol, Erdal, thanks for the compliments. When i say im sitting on my old rims...i mean my old stock rims are "sitting" in my garage collecting dust.
The rims i have now are ROH rims. www.groupawheels.com if anyone is interested.
