2000 Z71 5.3 Brake question..Easy one!!

I recently had to replace the rear passenger side caliper on my 2000 Z71. I bought a fully assembled caliper and the job took 20 minutes.

Brakes are working fine after a good bleeding, but I need to replace another part and I don't know what it is called. What can I say...I'm not a mechanic but even I can handle brakes.

I have no faith in my local dealer to get me the right part (numerous bad experiences), plus I don't want to pay 5x what it's worth.

What is the name of the rear protector that covers the rotor. Is that the rear drum or what? My previous caliper broke and it did a little damage to the metal plate that covers the rotor on the inside. It's the piece has the spring that is attached to the emergency brake. Before I can order the part I need to know what it's called and I don't want to call the parts store without knowing exactly what I need.

And now that you know what part I'm talking about, will I need to take the wheel assembly apart to replace it. Or can I just put it on from the back without have to take apart the drum.

I know this is an easy one for all you pro's...What can I say?

Thanks.

Dust shield. I think you need to pull the caliper and rotor to replace it but I'm not sure.

You will need to remove the axle shaft, you may not want to tackle this ,the c clip retainer in the diff must be removed to do this, can be a little tricky.
