door trim panel removal

vandals broke my side mirror off, no big deal, got a brand new one online for $35, i go to put it on, since i have power mirrors, the connecter is somewhere behind the door trim panel, great, so i look in my haynes manual, it says you can jimmy rig the window crank off with a shop rag, bullshit, so i go buy the window crank removal tool, unscrew ALL (yes, all) of the screws holding it on (the door trim panel), i gently lift it up (like the haynes manual says) and nothing, then i fight with it and cuss at it for about 10 mintues, and still nothing, how do i get this stubborn little fuck off???

Re: door trim panel removal

well after typing that post i'd decided my fingers hadnt been frostbitten enough so i decided to go try this shit again, apparently mr haynes forgot to mention the 10 little plastic clip thingys that also hold the door on, im just glad they're the kind you can use over and over and not the ones you have to break and replace everytime, after prying those out with a flathead screwdriver, i got the panel off, i wasnt expecting all the styrofoam to fall out, and those stock speakers, man, those things still have me laughing, they sound pretty good for being that tiny, i also wanted to add (in case someone searches and finds this post in the years to come) that those 3 little nuts that hold the side mirrors on, you can only get to one of them, unless you take the entire door trim panel off (with a socket i should say, if you wanna fuck with those for 2 hours with a tiny little open end wrench, and then risk dropping them down in the door, good luck)
