Check the new fuel tank in the car:

Re: Build report: Ferrari F2005 Revell 1/24

I mounted the wheels for fit test on the car:

on check with reference pics, i realise that revell makes an mistake:
the wheels are 4-5mm to wide from the brake!

I take my microsaw to make a solution:

Re: Build report: Ferrari F2005 Revell 1/24

I start with painting. I use the new Revell-Aqua-Color. The Red is mixed with white and thined with water. The color is easy to use with the airbrush.
The black areas painted with Revell-Aqua Flat Black, for appling the carbon decals.
Engine and wheels painted with Revell-Aqua Silver Color.

The next steps are: scratch building the water cooler and electronic boxes.
appling decals, some "wirering".
Best Regards
Torsten

Impressive! The amount of scratchbuilding needed in that engine bay should keep you busy for a while. )

Re: Build report: Ferrari F2005 Revell 1/24

After long long time...
i bought the Studio 27 Set for the F2005

and modified the Radiators:

I'm not satisfied with the result and decided after my successful 3D-Design-Work with the Alien APC -> LINK <- to build the radiators on the PC with sketchup and 3d-print them at shapeways:
