lock-up solenoid

alright i bought a lockup solenoid for my 700-R4 tranny on my 88 cap. and i needed some step by step instructions on how to replace it and if i could get some pictures of the same tranny and all that.i tried to find site but i couldnt find them.

Go to Autozone and grab a Haynes GM Automatic Transmission book - it'll have detailed, step-by-step instructions.

It's not a hard job to do, though it can be messy (you have to pull the pan from the transmission). Get a filter and gasket set for it too - change the filter while you're in there (you have to pull it off, anyway). Just make sure you grab the reinforced o-ring seal for the filter tube out of the pump body - these like to lodge in the pump intake.
