Gonna do the T-Top conversion.

Well I'm gonna do the T-Top conversion. Now I know that I need all of this stuff:

-t-tops ( <-- Ebay)
-weatherstripping
-t-top brackets
-windshield trim piece
-center bar for t-tops
-front and read t-top A pillars
-weatherstripping channel, for the front part
-t-top headliner

But were do I buy it? The only thing I have found on Ebay are the T-Tops... Can you guys give me some links!?!?

Check classifieds sections of sites like ls1tech and fullthrottlev6 for people parting out cars... good luck

Re: Gonna do the T-Top conversion.

Well if you get lucky (like I did) you might be able to find someone here on the forums or possibly even another furm who totaled their car and are parting it out, then maybe they can hook you up with all the parts you need for a helluva deal. Thats what our good ol friend philly here did for me. I'm eventually going to do the conversion now that I got everything I need, but I'm just in a bind with money right now, and havent had the time to get around to it. But good luck to ya man.

Re: Gonna do the T-Top conversion.

I have been thinking about adding t-tops to my list of things I need to do to my car. Doesn't look outrageously difficult, but I just need to figure out how much its gonna cost me and how long its gonna keep my car out of commission. Hope you get a hold of all the stuff you need and that the project goes smoothly!

Re: Gonna do the T-Top conversion.

Yeah I was planning on installing them in the 83, figured they would be nice to have during the summer. Is there some kind of issue with the t-tops on the third gen camaros, or just the installation itself that is a problem? Like I said, its just something I've thought about, I haven't really looked into it seriously or anything...

Re: Gonna do the T-Top conversion.

it's the installation itself. 4th generation camaro's (93+) have the ttop supports and mounting brackets and such built in whereas the older camaro's do not. with my 4th gen, all you really had to do was cut the fiberglass roof off and you see everything there, after cutting out some spot welds at the corners you will see the mounting brackets, really cut and dry. the older gens were made either ttop or coupe, not like they were in the 4th gen.
