clutch replacement
Has anyone had to replace a clutch on a P11?
If so, how difficult was it? Also, for anyone who has had a new clutch - what milage did it start failing?? Mines started slipping at 83k. Could be the adjustment, but it doesn't "feel" out of alignment on the pedal. Ideas?? |

Obviously everyone drives in different conditions &
you never know how the car was treated before you got it, but 80k is about average for a P11 clutch, I've found that much over 100k & they become heavy due the cover Its not too bad a job, book time is about 3.5 hrs but i think it pays to have a dealer do it

mine started to go at around 110,000 miles..... the peddle got really heavy and first gear was a bit of a bugger to get, also MASSIVE STINK of fish type smell when riding the clutch or about to pull a huge wheel spin!!.....
now the cars done 135,000 and there is a grinding noise in first when you first release the clutch to pull off...... Im currently looking for someone else to do the replacement as despite how good Nissan are, im not paying the quoted £460 to replace it at my local dealer..... I'll let you know how i get on
