How do you hook the cam sensor up on a 1g head to a 2g car?
There are 4 wires on the 1g cam sensor, and only 3 wires on my 2g plug. What do i have to do to make it work? I tried doing a search but could not come up with anything.

I have to do all that with the ecu also? Even after you connect the wires into the crank sensor and cam sensor wire? I just got my DSMLINK, do i still need to do that pin thing with the ecu? I got the cam sensor inverted default for my dsmlink also which is good

Re: How do you hook the cam sensor up on a 1g head to a 2g car?
I guess the signals sent by the 1g CAS can't be read correctly by the 2g ecu and thats why you have to pull the pins... I'm not 100% sure on that, but thats my understanding to it all. Throw the DSMLink in there and I have no clue. lol Sorry man. What do you need to connect your DSMLink to on your ecu?

The dsmlink came with everything, it connects into your odb2 with a adapter they supply for you that converts into db9. Automotiveforum is being gay again, it will not upload pics, it goes all threw it perfect but will not add my pics in my album so i have to do it this way. Check it out

Ok, thats sweet... So its just plug and play? You don't have to hardwire anything to your ecu or any other engine sensors? Plug it in and go? lol

If you want to set it up for launches you need to wire it in the nuetral safety switch, but that is only one wire.
