won't start after every fill up

I have to start all over. my car stalls after each and every fill up at the gas station. Other times run good and start without problem. Does anybody hear about someting like this. I read the codes and there is one P0441. where to start?
Please help.

Re: won't start after every fill up

your filling up gas too far and its putting gas into the evap lines flooding thecharcoal canister and evap purge valve.

replace your evap purge valve and it should help alot

Re: won't start after every fill up

99 passat 1.8t. I was filling up and I placed a gas cap under the lever, so I can warm up in car, and the nozzle did not stop, and gas just spilled all over the ground--it happened twice. Perhaps, the purge valve is taking some of the pressure?

Re: won't start after every fill up

I usually don't fill up to the end especially when the prices of the gas fluctuate so much. It does't matter how much gas i put the problem accures. I never overfilled the tank.
