Where did you install aftermarket fog light switch?!?!?

I installed aftermarket foglights about 4 months ago, where I mounted the switch for them was underneath the dash. Problem is I have broken the switch mount for the fourth and last time. I was wondering if anyone has mounted their aftermarket switch in the actual dash that is accessible and looks like it came out of the factory like that? I know that for cavaliers that come with foglights, the switch is mounted next to the interior light switch. Is it possible to cut a hole in mine and pop the switch in, or is there a metal backing for the interior light switch that would prevent me from cutting through? Open to any suggestions on this.
