Got my WW kit today.

Damn it is alot heavier than i thought it would be. I never realized that urathane would be alot heavier than the fiberglass on ei have now. But o well. Since i work at a body shop it should no problem getting it painted and for cheap too. I'll post pics ASAP. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Sweet. Yeah, after I got mine, I just had to wonder how much the door caps and side-skirts would affect my power to weight ratio hehehe.

ahhh c'mon, it's not that much heavier. i know you never had problem with fiberglass...however, fiberglass is a lot thinner and tends to crack easier. you won't be worried about heavy when you accidently hit something and it doesn't crack.

hey, you should come pick up my car and take it back there to paint it...return it when it's done. LOL! i'd never get my car back...

congrats on the kit's arrival

I'm with Ami about the fiberglass! I hit a (already dead) racoon in the middle of a North Dakota winter, doing 65mph. That thing was huge. Didn't even phase the bumper. My only problem was that when the weather finally started to warm up, some of the paint started to crack & peel from the bumper flexing (when I hit the racoon).

You'd be suprised how much lighter the bumpers are once you take your stock ones off. Then again, I took my big, heavy bumper supports off, too.

You took off the bumper re-inforcements? Or is that something else?

sweet dude, you finally got it from them. jigar and i went up to eugene in the RSX last night to get the keys to his new place and when we drove home this morning we raced/followed this IS300 untill about 20 miles from sisters. I couldn't believe that thing was that quick, it was weaving and passing just as good as us if not better. when we finally passed it was some old guy and his wife LOL.

you have 3 weeks to instal the kit for the show. the clock is ticking

Yeah, the bumper reenforcements. I guess that's what they're called anyway. Big heavy beams that the (stock) bumpers cover over. I actually only took my front one off because I didn't think the WW would fit over it. I left the rear one on because the rear WW bumper covered it, and I was lazy . I may take it off someday (when I start to race the car more), but I doubt it...
