Re: Post some pics of your grand am

nice pics xonelith. I hav seen your GA somewhere before...... maybe it was @ GA GT forums or something.

My GA is very simular to yours.
You were lucky to get pics while you installed you mods.
So your upper intakes Ported, whats the black coating on your intake? THat just paint or is it a ceramic type coating to reduce heatsoak?

I'm going to hav to get my GA to the track and get some good videos.
Oh ya Welcome to AF xonelith.

Thanks,

I'm on quite a few message boards for the GA. This one looks pretty good!

The black is just paint. The 3400SFI is polished. That will all be gone once I get the 65mm TB THe stock 56mm is killing me!

I hav spent way to much!
Around $3k on mods, not counting the intake gaskets, and hub assemblies, that all would be about $5k.

And now the tranys about shot!~! I hav another one I'm getting ready, so when this one dies I will be ready for it.

My intake is ported for a 62mm, soon to be 65mm to match the TB I'm gettin'.

That run was ok. Only a 14.21. The tuning got me down to a 13.991, but the problem with the 13.991 is I was running stock injectors (duty cycle was 125% at 6800 rpm!!) which is a little dangerous. The tb probably wouldn't have helped me much due to the small injectors (now I'm running 36lb GTP injectors). I had around 6* of false KR (in turn reducing my timing) as I am also running the stock engine mount This is on order Oh, almost forgot, once I got my wideband installed, I found I was running 10.1 afr!!! Should be closer to 13 at WOT.

The money thing never stops. I spent a little more but I'm not done!! Once I break this tranny, I'll need a new one, still running stock springs and struts, still running stock tires..... geez... I'm feelin' a little sick

Re: Post some pics of your grand am

125% DS is pushing it a bit
THose 36lb GTP injectors will definatly get you the fuel you need for more speed.

Surprised if your stock mounts arent broke already, done replaced mine with uerythane.
Need to replace my sway and what not with those too to stiffin things up, strut towers Braces are my next mod though.
