Hello, I have a question can I add powersliding doors to my base model 2005 Town and country or is it impossible? Also wondering if I can install an original dvd entairtainment overhead monitor? If they are possible is there any tutorials or links i can follow. Thanks

Re: Power sliding door

Well from what i was told by my friend's dealership (he's the business manager) if the car does not have power doors its not worth putting them in. He didnt go into details. The DVD is another thing. I bought an 05 grand caravan SXT without the DVD. He said that its pre wired for it you just need the equipment, also said its easy enough to install. I'm planning on buying it this summer. hope that helps some.

This link might be of interest to you .......
http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/showthread.php?t=1672

It describes adding power to the drivers' side sliding door on a vehicle that was OEM equipped with a passenger side pwr sliding door & a pwr hatch. It might give you some ideas what to check to see whether or not your 'basic' wiring harness can be adapted as required. -- willperk
