gas gauge problems?

My gas gauge is not working in my 98 Wrangler, I have bought a new sending unit but it didn't fix the problem. What do I do now??

Re: gas gauge problems?

well, your jeep is newer than mine(mine's a 93), so I'm not sure if it has the same stuff behind the dash or not. but anyway, I had problems with my guages working, and it ended up being the printed circit behind the guages. some of the strips of wire in the printed circit had broken, so I just made some jumpers out of regular wire, and eliminated most of the printed circit.

Re: gas gauge problems?

use a multi meter and check for ground at the sending unit/tank. You could have a faulty gauge.
