newbie needs help

i have a 1996 cavalier drove it 1 hour shut off now wont start,no spark but getting gas,replaced the crankshaft sensor still wont start, turns over good any ideas would be greatly appreciated. thanks

there is no distributor has coil packs

z24????? Check the coils, ignition fuses, wires, plugs, anything like that.

My best guess on the order you should start checking stuff:
Unplug the battery and leave it off for a bit to clear the computer, check again.
Fuses (just start checking)
Wires (worn/frayed? Boots okay? Good contacts on the boots [unless Z24])
Plugs (seated properly? Any abnormal wear? Gaps in spec?)
Coil Packs
DIS Box

then if all else fails have your timing belt checked could have jumped time.
