Exclamation Sticking Lifter in a 01' 1.8Turbo???

I bought this Beetle about a year ago. I had approx. 43k when I bought it. I do not know the maintenance prior to my purchase. It drove great for about 3 mths and then I have a lifter that is sticking. Once it warms up for about 3 minutes it drives fine and "frees" itself. I have tried the additive Risilone (sp) and it does not have seemed to help. I would really like to repair this without opening the engine. I love this car and it drives great but the lifter thing is getting old. I know that there are not "miracles" in cans but does anyone have any helps to this problem. Thanks.

a mericle would be replacing the bad cam chain adjuster. They go bad all the time and cause lifter noise ( sounds like loud ticking noise)
