Want advice

I'm selling off ALL of my as yall call them "shitty" subs which are two 12" powerbass and two 12" JL audio W0's and I plan on buying six 10's but I want to know what to ask for the subs, and what kind of 10's to get.

ANY thoughts/advice will be GREATLY PRAISED!!!!!

Stay on topic newb.

Most of the time, the people in here would like to see what kind of a budget you have for the subs and/or amp(s).

Re: Want advice

Whats your budget and why do you want 6 if anything you would get more bass and lest chance of the subs distorting or canceling each other out with 2-15 or 2-18's if you want serious bass. One thing i have learned the more is not always better cause one awsome 18 with 1500 watts would hit harder than 6 shitty 10's with 100-150 watts a piece. Im sure someone in here could help direct you more towards this concept. The other thing to look into is want enclosure you should build, remember the bigger the sub the bigger the enclosure but the more subs the more enclosures so its a draw in your case. Another thing is good subs and cheap amps wont get you very far you get what you pay for.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

It's part of the topic. This is the first time I have seen this sig for this guy changed. And btw, I quit smoking weed today. as for the subs, go for 250 for each set, or at least thats what id sell them for. For new 10s, I would go MTX for multiple subs. maybe alpine too. maybe.

No, it's not on topic, and his sig has been changed for some time.

I agree with the MTX idea, RF isn't bad either, I know you can gte 2 10's for 120 bucks from Crutchfield but you can still look around. But when you can get a pretty hellacious 15", or possibly 18" for 500 bucks then you'll be more satisfied with sound. Pimprolla's post is the only other one that I see useful in this thread, wait for CBFryman or one of the smart guys come around, they'll show you what you want.

Re: Want advice

You sure as hell arent getting 250 set maybe 200 for all 4, used subs dont sell well unless there top quality. If you want a ton of bass then mtx would be good but they arent cheap for there good stuff and that stuff cant compare with other brands good stuff, look into DD, incriminator audio, brahma, sound splinter, alpine type r's. That should get you going for now just so you car audio is not cheap when you want a ton of bass.

Re: Want advice

I don't even have a budget in mind yet, and I've sort of driven away from the thought of six 10's anyways because I have thought about what everyone on here has said and I think that I'll try for a HUGE ASS 23" Jackhammer in the trunk, FUCK WIT DAT!!!! or something insane in the trunk. Like one of my previous posts stated, I want the kind of thump that when I roll through your hood I kill animals and small children, I want tha beat that loosens lugnuts, I want the beat that destroys shit from 40 feet away, you got the point. I want highs that will make a dog deaf, and vocals that will put jealousy in the heart of a concert.

In other words I want like 200+ decibals coming out of this car, I want the highs to shatter the stock glass and I have have to go with bulletproof glass to just hold up to the tweet and beat of my ride. I want to be able to rattle shit loose on other peoples cars. Well I could go on for hours about what I want but I'm seriously wondering how much money would I have to put into a system to get 200+ decibals.

Re: Want advice

Fuckin retard. You can't reach 200db's in the earth's athmosphere. For Audio it tops out around 180. And as far as Daily drivers go it tops out close to a 160. Don't try to go too big because fewer smaller subs in a correct enclosure is better then more/ bigger subs in too small of an enclosure. Where are you located? Because you need help.

Re: Want advice

If you're talking about being a show winner check this out and see what it takes to be a Db Drag racing world record holder and then do the research on your own to find out the cost of everything needed. Either way there is no possibility of you getting a system loud enough in your car unless 1 of 2 things happens, either you win the powerball lottery and have a ton of disposable income to throw at a system and the other things that would have to be taken care of to produce the db's, or get a sponsorship from a multitude of companies that will give you the equipment and when you go to shows all across the country have their logo's all over your vehicle essentially making it THEIR vehicle and no longer yours. Either way give up on the dream of being a record holder and go with a pair of 15's either Lanzar, MTX, or OZ Audio and get a Hifonics amp to match the power requirements of it and put them in a custom built ported and tuned box.

Re: Want advice

Scrap the lanzar, MTX, and Crapfonics.... and look at RE, Ascendant, Soundspliter, JL, Eclipse, Diamond, Stereo Integrity for subs and RE, ED, Incriminator, American Bass, Old School products from Orion, Autotek, PPI, Hifonics, ect.... A nice 2 12's setup that would wang woul be two Ascendant Arsenal 12's with a RE 12.1 to power them.

Re: Want advice

WELL then you FUCKIN EXPERTS tell me then WTF do I need to do as far as a system that is gonna go in a daily driver someday to be showcar? I want some hellatious beat and tweet, I want something that will make me KING in this land of fucking newbie's in this little fucking hick town, I'm not far from that now, but I want a guarantee that noone will touch me for a LONG time. Like the thread title stated "Want advice" Well I WANT SOME ADVICE, NOT CRITICISM!!!! I appreciate everyone's help and the few who haven't called me a moron. And by all means DO keep bringing the suggestions, it's just I'm tired of being criticized just because I don't know WTF the current record holder is, and because I've never heard a system that exceeds MAYBE 140 decibals.

HELL YES^^^^^

And yeah...200 db's is way beyond possibility. Isn't the space shuttle taking off something like 198 db's and that's loud. My truck is mid - high 130's.
