Front End Clunk
Hey,
me again, I have had a strange intermittent CLUNK occuring when I brake. This only happens sometimes. The car hit a deer before I got it and the passenger side (the side it is coming from) was rebuilt by who knows who. It has new struts, brakes( complete), tie rod end, and connecting rods. ( I suspected a bad connecting rod. it was bad, I changed all of them this weekend, but the ClUNCK came back today) Any suggestions? Has anyone seen a similar problem? Any help will be helpful Thanks Jacuzzo |

Re: Front End Clunk
HI, My '93 Intrepid ES has a front end clunk, we put it on a lift yesterday and found that the clunk is coming from some worn bushings (I think they are called isolator bushings) on the stabilizer bar.
Hope this helps, let me know. |

Re: Front End Clunk
Worn Lower Control Arm Bushings will make a clunk while braking. If that is the culprit then replace the entire arm assembly, that gives you new bushings for the arm and strut rod, as well as a new ball joint.
