Speed limiter on '03

[Tahoe 03]

Hi,

I own a '03 Hoe and was just wondering at wat speed the limiter is set and also what happens when you reach that speed. Does the engine stall or you just can't go any faster anymore? I read that the fuel gets cut off but it was on older models.

Goes to fuel cut, engine stutters but will not go faster, based on tire speed rating.

Thanks for the intel but I still want to know at what speed it is set so I don't get surprised when I hit a certain speed.

Like said tire sise.
Take it out on the salt flats where there is no speed limit and wind her up.
You will soon find out at what speed it kicks in.

On my '99 Tahoe its 97/98MPH, on our '02 Suburban its the same. So i would assume that your '03 would also be the same.

ya i think chevy sets it at 98 mph and it will cut out and it feels like you just went into neutral
