|
1983 944 stuck in neutral and can't shift into any gear
We just bought a repo 944 from the bank and you can't shift the tranny into any gear. It is stuck in neutral and will not go into any gear. Does anyone have an idea what might be wrong? It has been so cold here that we have not really looked at it much yet but thought someone might have an idea what to look for when we do look at it?

When they repo'd it they probably ruined the gear box. I don’t know if you have ever seen how they repo cars some times but its not pretty. Some times they drag the cars while in gear. The 944 trannys are pretty solid so if its having problems then it must have been beat on. I’m thinking the trannys shot.
