Can Air Filters Handle a Lot of Water?
I'm working on this intake for my 2000 Maxima and its going to be using the K&N stock air filter replacement. What I need to know is how much water can this filter directly take because I am eliminating the mouth of the intake and making a scoop that will go to a swishcheesed airbox. I assume that some water makes it into the airbox and hits the filter so I think I'll be ok, but I just need some reassurance.
Thanks, DF |

Overall I think youll get more, cheap horses as stock piping is widened. However, if u mean attachin a scoop through hood: the airspeed on hood never reaches over 15% of intake airspeed. So profit iwill be limited, surely there is some. |

Nah, I'm relocating the battery to the truck and making a sheet metal scoop under the hood. It will push air towards the modified airbox and stop shit from under the car from splashing up.
