can anybody lend a helping hand?
I have posted before about having really weird transmission problems, and now i am thinking that the only way to fix these problems without rebuilding the tranny is just to swap it out for a 5-spd. my question is has anybody done this already and can help me out? or does anybody know how involved it will be? i have a
1995, Accent 1.5 SOHC with 75k on the engine. so i want it to last me a little longer. also bought the car for 75 dollars because of the odd tranny problem. any help would be greatly appreciated! |

^I'v personally never done it, but i hear it usually costs about $1,000 to have an auto to 5spd swap.

Re: can anybody lend a helping hand?
thanks, i have looked into tranny prices, a tranny with 60,000 miles on it cost about 400 dollars. and then i will need everyhting elso to go with it and labor. so yeah about 1000-1500 dollars. but it shoul be well worth it.
