Re: Help On CODES ANY ONE PLEASE >>>

When I checked, these were the results for the codes.

P1456 90 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak detected (Fuel Tank System).

Typically caused by a leaking/open gas cap. Check it, reset the ECU, if it comes back on, then you may have a more serious leak, and will need the fuel tank inspected for leaks.

P0780 Problem in Shift Control System

Don't know for sure about this, and had little results searching. It isn't your tranny. It is part of the control system. So my guess is 1) the shifting solenoid, 2) the tranny control unit. If it were the TCU, I would expect slightly different problems. So I'd start by trying to find a replacement solenoid from a junkyard, but that is only a suggestion.

Could you provide us with some more info. IE, year of the car, and if it's auto or manual. (presumably auto). Any symptoms. Do you have an 'S' light or 'D4' light blinking? The more info, the better.

My car shifts pretty roughly and lost some power. There is times when it goes back to normal.Thats usually when it gets cold. In the mornings its cold ,but it doest run as good as when the sun starts to go down and the coldness sets in-Thats around 7 or 8 in at noon. Its weird. I thank you for the help

Best I can say is start with the shifting selonoid, sorry I really don't know. Search junkyards and look for used parts, don't go through the dealer.

Re: Help On CODES ANY ONE PLEASE >>>

Honda has extended the warranty on your vehicles tranny. It's 7yrs/100k miles. You can call the dealer and give them recall number 02-062...they may ask you to come in to further diagnose it...but before you do...ask them will the warranty cover the repair needed. The code you have reads - Mechanical problem in hydraulic control system for shift solenoid valve A and A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valves a & b, or problem in hydraulic control system - according to all data. Like igovert said...replace the torque converter clutch solenoid valve/shift solenoid valve A and the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valves A & B if you're out of the warranty and want to do it yourself. once you replace those solenoids...just remember to reset the PCM by removing the "back up" fuse in the fuse panel on the passenger side and test drive to see if prob went away.
