I have a 91 Maxima SE. Whenever I turn on my headlights, it creates a "humming" noise that comes out of my speakers. What the heck is going on?? I do have an RF modulated CD changer, if that's a possible reason?

Sounds like alternator wine.... it happens all the time on aftermarket (big power) systems... but here is the problem most aftermarket installs have a ajustable "filter" some where in them I'm not shure about the stock system... what happening is your putting stress on the altinator and your headlights are enuff to do so... it may be time to look for a reman alterator.... it might be a sighn it's about to let loose on ya..... not shure any one eles know?

if it is ur alternator and you have to replace ya might wanna go and get one that has more amps on it, jus to make sure ya dont strain the shit outta it. my stepdad used to build sound systems for competition guys in georgia, he told me bout somethin like that, tryin to pull too much power from the alternator
