2001 Crank Sensors 4.0
Going to attempt to replace bad crank sensors on my 4.0 2001. Has anyone replaced or know procedure it looks like to get at them you have to remove the oil filter and its housing? Have factory service manual, but it just says to remove sensors and replace with new ones.

Re: 2001 Crank Sensors 4.0
These are instructions for my '97:
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT Raise vehicle and support. Electrical connector at sensor. Retaining bolt and sensor. INSTALL OR CONNECT Sensor and retaining bolt. Tighten Bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.). Electrical connector at sensor. Lower vehicle. If your manual doesn't say you have to remove something, to remove your sensors. I don't think you have to remove anything. You wouldn't dispute a GM mechanical engineer would you? |
