Exclamation 89bonnecode42

This started happening abuot 2 weeks ago. First it just cuts off while warm and idling but starts back up, then after another hour or so it starts running rough, then it has no power, almost like the timing has jumped, spitting, popping and such. Let it cool off for an hour, she'll start right up. All indications direct me to the ignition module because of the code and it's very, very hot to the touch. Replaced module in Aug. 05 when it wouldn't even start, I've got good fuel pressure, any advice before I replace the module, Oh yeah she's got 420K on her. Thanks,Also Advance does not have the setup to check this module, at least not around here and Is that a dielectric or conductive grease that goes under the module.

Re: 89bonnecode42

could be a bad crank sensor or broken harmonic balancer also, both very common problems on your year 3800
