88 comanche help

I bought this jeep comanche 88 with 5 speed now when I got this jeep it had no curb side fender no front header both costed me about $35 (us) but the problem is this it's 2WD only now here up north we'd rather have 4WD in the winter months is there any way I can convert my 2WD 4 banger to 4WD? possible?

any help would greatly be appreciated

Anything is possible for a price.One way would be to get a wreck and swap all the parts.You need the trans ,t-case and front axle for starters.

There have been many threads about doing exactly that, in the pickup forums. The consensus is that it's cheaper to just buy another vehicle than to buy all the parts and install them.

In your position I'd get some killer studded snow tires and put a few bags of sand and kitty litter in the bed, along with a shovel.
