Angry Replaced Starter now the care dont Start

I have a 1999 Chevy Cavalier and i have had a problem for the last month or two with my car being very hessatent about starting. When i used the remote starter the car would take longer to actually start than if i used the key. But either way i tried starting it took a minute to actually start. So of course everyone is telling me that i needed to replace the starter. So i did. Now the car isnt even acting like it is wanting to start. Is there anything i am suppost to do to try and reset the remoter starter or is there anything i can do to test it to figure out if the problem is in the remote starter or if it is the new starter is bad.

well, if the starter is turning but the car isn't starting but you can hear it trying to get fuel it could be an emissions problem like the IAC valve. But, if the starter isn't saying nothing than you can get a screwdriver and turn the key on like you are going to crank it and touch the screwdriver to the hot wire and the solenoid. If it cranks then you might need a new battery.

you could go and buy a cheap multimeter to see if the starter is even getting power. Otherwise check your fuses, you may have crossed two wires and blew one while installing the new one.

Yes make sure you have a fully charged battery. I replaced mine a few weeks ago and there was a warning sticker on it that said do not attempt to start the new starter with less than ? volts or damage can occur. It also said about the battery being fully charged...
