What head gasket to use?
My mods are in my sig and I'm going to be running a ported 2g head and 1g intake. I don't need anything fancy because if I go much bigger than what I'm running now I might as well do a full rebuild. Really the gasket only needs to hold no more than 35 psi because the MOST I will run is maybe ~25. So I'm thinking an OE mitsu one. Any other suggestions?
EDIT: I'm going to be using ARP head studs also

Re: What head gasket to use?
That seems to be the consensus. Any idea how much they run? I get a big discount from the Chrysler dealer through school but I just wanted an idea.

Re: What head gasket to use?
Well i think im gonna go with the 4 layer metal head gasket which about $85 from the dealer here. But i just cannot find how much thicker over stock it is tho. I believe its like 40 thousanths thicker than oem. I need a thick one because the 1g head i got its been decked.

ARP + MLS = 25psi all day long.

Re: What head gasket to use?
That being said, with my mods plus a 190 or 255 w/regulator and 3" down pipe and a good tune, is 25 something that I could run on 93 octane pump gas daily(not that I would just something to keep in mind) or should I keep it closer to 18-20

Re: What head gasket to use?
imo, run it around 15-18 psi during the day to mess around, but then when u want to take it to the tracks, then turn it up around 25 or w/e you want. i wouldnt suggest 25 all day long, itll make the life of your turbo go down, and increase the chance of something happening somewhere. not worth running that much anywayz. plus holding 25 psi on a 16g with pump gas to redline would be difficult.

Re: What head gasket to use?
Like I said, its not something that I'm going to do, I just wanted to know if its possible, and besides I hardly ever redline my car on the street and going from what I was running(11psi on a 14b) to 18psi on a 16g will be like night and day

Re: What head gasket to use?
I will be running stainless o-rings, and SCE copper (i got high hopes), copper gaskets last for many, many rebuilds.

Re: What head gasket to use?
nope, I didn't put it on, came with the car and one hella bad exhaust leak so I replaced it with a unit from felpro, no complaints there.
