New rims for the SiR:

Just window shopping at the moment, but I spotted the 15s that came out on the Mugen CRXs - offset will be spot on as they came from the EF CRX:

I also spotted these in 15s, but don't know the offset:

Comments anyone?

Only issue is that they are 15s and I really want to go to 16s - but the Mugens are bloody tempting.

Both are fugly - agree with Moppy. I H-A-T-E black rims. Esp. small ones. Get some nice 16" or 17" RSR rims. Nice 5 spoke alloys.

Black car = black rims - alloy looks like shit on black IMO.

The Mugens actually look good in RL as I recollect - I always wanted the Mugen CRX we got here - even if it was only an Si

Disagree. You need some contrast. One concession I will make is a black 200SX with tinted windows, lights with massive black rims (like 18")

That looked good. Other than that, not chrome (tacky) but alloys.

lol - I'm going the stealth look - besides, alloys just don't look right on a black 4G - I've tried them and they just look ricey

Anything but white - too hard to keep clean

i can't believe you even consider the top pic :apuke:

the 2nd one is tolerable as it would match your car, but it just doesn't look nice enough.

don't like the bottom one.

You just know when you see a set of rims that will make your car "special" they don't look like it.

the enkei's on Gulu's CRX would look nice on your car actually...black with red around the outside.

Yeah new rims are the way to go.
I spent ages looking for used rims for the CRX, but didn't find anything I wanted. My ideal desire was either the 15" Enkei RP01 or the 15 "EM11, as it happens I got the 15" EM11's they suit the car IMO, but I am soo happy that I got them, afterall ask your self 'Am I going to be happy with these a year or more later?' and with most second hand rims you are making a comprimise, and will no doubt regret it later.
The offest of my wheels is 40mm but were listed as suitable wheel by Enkei. I just went to Enkei's Japanese site and they do list wheels from 38-45mm offset for Civics, so I assume Honda have approved it, or it is within tolerance.

Those black rims you were looking at were RP01's weren't they?
If you are dead set on them you could try to see if they could be machined down to a 38-40mm offset (anything is possible I guess), if you do have a 45mm offset with such wide wheels you may get rubbing on the inner guard when at full lock.

I may as well post a pic of mine.
