unbeliveable!!! read on

this is unbeliveable
REPLACED ON MY E46:
1.) front bushings(both)
2.) control arms (both )
3.) tire rods (both)
4.) ball joints (both)
5.) Front struts (both)
6.) car aligned 5 times 4 diferent rep. shops.
7.) tires stock and pressure to spec.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT???

car was in an accident on the left driver side . fairly good hit. car will run straight , but steering will kinda jumps all over the road at times . also pulls at times , but not any specific direction.(both directions)

the body shop i just took it out of to install my brand new bmw struts said the way the car is aligned. the car should be running smooth and perfect. So in my mind then the caris all up to specs on being straight , so it has to be a component i have not replaced yet.

Only things left and i can think of is :
1.) steeering rack . very possible , WHO HAS HAD A BAD RACK BEFORE WHERE EXACTLY DID IT GO BAD AND WHAT DID YOUR CAR FEEL LIKE?

2.) Rear bushings. maybe but car only has 51k onher. they are suppose to make it to around 100k. also had checked and they did check out OK.

3.) REAR SHOCKS.
4.) now they say it is the binding spool value and the enitre rack needs to be replaced.

this how it feels. like when you are on a rollaer coster and you get thrown around left and right . seriously , only if the road is not perfectly flat.

ANYONE WANT TO THROUGH IN THIER TWO CENTS BE MY GUESS. ILL BE HERE ALL NIGHT .

Not sure what kind of accident you had. Front end? Did any body shop check to see if the strut tower housing is mushroomed. Compare from left to right when looking at the top of the tower housing with hood open.

YEA TO BE HONEST THAT IS WHAT I THINK I MAY BE , BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY i think that it is possible when the repair work was being done , that they used the wrote stut tower itself. i know that that seems funny , but i really believe it is true . simply becuase i read that not all three series have the same model strut towers. i know they replaced the front left strut tower i can see the half ass job they did when welding .i know now that this may be the root of the problem , but it woul costr me like 1700 to fix it and to be honest , since the car doesnt really handle that bad since i have the front struts and the new rack put in not really all that bad to drived. livable . i just hope that the bad strut trower even if bad. is causing the issue , doesnt make my strut wear prematurely .

If you were in an accident, it is very likely that the frame of your car is bent. I would definately consider taking it to a frame shop to have it checked out.

Have your shop check the position of the steering rack. If it was moved it can cause a condition called bump steering. When the car is driven over a bump, the steering tie rods will cause the wheels to turn as they move up & down if the rack is incorrectly positioned.
