Best Launching RPMs
What have you guys discovered to be the best rpm range for launching your car? I have a 1g eclipse gs-t and I have this performance timer which I wanted to use to time the car's 0-60 mph time. Well I got a time of 7.42 seconds 0-60 and the car is completely stock with some tune up needed. I launched it from about 2- 2.5k rpm but i think I should have gone higher since the turbo lack was very noticable at first. What do you think, sounds like a reasonable time?

Re: Best Launching RPMs
I wouldn't say I have the best tires but I definetely didn't spin them so I guess i really didn't launch right. The tires spun a bit when I was shifting to second gear but not even close when I launched. Who knows, maybe this car can get an even better time. I am still getting used to it. I have had it for only 3 days now and I just want to get a general idea of what it can do completely stock and then after I am done modding it I want to see how much the acceleration has been improved.

Re: Best Launching RPMs
Hes right the 3 grand area is the best launch for a FWD. You wan't a little spin but no alot. You gota learn to play wiht the clutch while ur launchin to keep down on wheel spin.
