96 GA lower control arms

Just a quick question, How hard are the lower control arms to replace????

not hard if you hav the right TOOLs. You will need a manual such as Chilton or even a Hynes would probley hav the torque spefication and anything else you'd need.

Well tools won't be a problem, I have been a mechanic for 15 years, Just always worked on diesel and heavy equiptment, cars are kinda foreign to me.

You shouldnt hav much trouble with the GA, as long as you hav one of those manuals

I assume your talking about he lower A-arm?

Did one on a Stratus, but not a grand am, didn't look much different.
Best advice I can give you is have a ball joint fork to seperate the a-arm from the knuckle, and have a long pry bar to pry the a-arm down to get the lower ball joint out of the a-arm. Having a buddy there to give you a hand is worth the beer it cost.

ya the fork is a must for seperating the bll jionts.
