More than one Speedometer or Tach.

Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to run 2 speedometers in one car, for the purpose of mounting one on the back of the center console so that the people in the back seat could see the speed and/or tach. Just a random idea I had in the show category.

Im sure you could do this...

Take a million long wires tap them into every wire on the speedometer you have, go out and find all the connectors for the new speedo like from a wrecked car and snip enough to solder/tape them together and run it under the dash under carpet and all to the rear...

That seems like it may work but im just throwing out a suggestion that could work if you wanna take time to do the wiring...Theres acutally not alot of wires into a speedometer from what i remember...

Yeah, that's the general idea, i was just wondering if there were anymore specifics or rules to this idea. My dad (being a muscle mechanic from way back when) says he doesnt think its possible, but i'm assuming hes thinking of a mechanical tach rather than an electrical. I dunno though, wanted a one-off mod of my own!

Well basically its all wires in the back of a speedometer...So just tap into everyone of them and run longer wires to the rear...

I think it would work...Not sure if you would want to do that but its something you might be able to do..

It is very possible, just stretching wires out. It will work...
