1998 Vento vr6 headlight problem

I have this problem with my car and if you have any tips please let me know. Randomly my headlights and foglights turn off. They only stay off for a few seconds at a time. When they cut off my abs light and my brake light come on and my air vents stop blowing until the head and fog lights come back I noticed that it is only my head and fog lights cutting off, not my parking lights or my taillights. This is my first volkswagon and I just got it so PLEASE SOMEONE DROP A HINT! Thanks

Re: 1998 Vento vr6 headlight problem

check the circle electrical connector in the engine bay. unscrew and disconnect it and check the wires for melting..
