heater core hoses (inlet)

I have a hole in my inlet hose leading to my heater core. Is there an easier way to get to the hoses w/o taking apart my car. I have a pretty good idea as to how I am going to do this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

cut and splice it if you can reach. it's probably on the way out though, you'll see how brittle it is when you cut it.
