Simple Electrical Question

I have a 1993 Ford E-150 Tiara Conversion. The van has two sets of opera lights that run the length of the interior on both sides, near the roof of the van. I want to replace the white lights with blue rope lights (the kind they sell at Home Depot, ect).

I have a power inverter for the televisions, but I was hoping to avoid installing another one, in leiu of something else to run the lights, which are standard, household, 110 lights, not 12v.

Is there an easier way of doing this, or am I pretty much limited to buying another inverter?

Re: Simple Electrical Question

The inverter you have should be more than adequate for that type of lighting and the TV.

My point was that I was hoping to not have to use an inverter for the lighting at all, but rather find a way to run the lights off the existing 12v circuit and roof console switch.

Sorry if I didn't clarify that.
