Ideas for a tatoo

I'm thinking about getting a tatoo. The one that i'm thinking about is a dream catcher in tan with brown ropes and three feathers hanging off in red, white and blue with a longhorn skull in the center of it. I will have my sons initials and D.O.B. on the forehead of the skull. This will be my first tat and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for other Native American type tatoo's.

Sounds cool to me. You could also consider a more simple design like a tribal tat or sumthin. Good luck, i hope it doesnt hurt too bad.

Re: Ideas for a tatoo

native american culture is so cool and they have some awesome stuff out there for tat ideas. some of my friends are native american and have some cool stuff. birds and the such. they usually have some meaning behind them i.e. the eagle is for power and strength.

as far as a tribal design goes, i know some artists that won't do tribal stuff anymore just because it's so mainstream it has lost it's appeal and it means nothing to them.

Yeah, some of the weirdest tattoos I've ever seen were on Indian guys. One had the grim reaper with an eagle on it. I don't know what in the hell it symbolized it anything but it was pretty damn cool.

Well my great grandpa was a full blood Cherokee, my dad is 5/8ths Cherokee, and I'm 3/8ths Cherokee so I think I'm in the clear to say "Indian".

Get two...

On the inside of one leg will be a squirrel running up.

On the other leg, there will be a squirrel running down, with his cheeks bulging.

Re: Ideas for a tatoo

as cheezy stupid as it sounds> try looking up.... i think its georgia o 'keefe who did all those paintings with the longhorn skulls, and flowers , and desert setting. and ild also look up sites where they have pics of what the different animals represents like bears, eagles, woodland, stuff like that. last thing you want is too put some animal on there, and some educated person bursts your bubble by saying its the symbol of sterility or some shit like that.
