Help. My interior lights won't shut off

I opened up my hatch the other day and now my interior lights stay on while I'm driving. They will go out only if the car is off, but it takes about 5 mins for them to shut off. Can anyone help?

I cant say for sure but it sounds like the light switch inside the rear hatch has stuck. There is a small contact switch at the rear hatch latch that turns the dome light on and off as the hatch is opened and closed, this switch gets corroded and sticks. I had my switch stick in the open position and my dome light quit working when the hatch was opened last summer. You have to remove the inner hatch skin to access this switch. I just cleaned things up real good and lubed everything and its good to go.
