Question

I just bought a 2000 dodge neon ES about three weeks ago, it's a 2.0 but i don't know if it's an SOHC or a DOHC, can anyone help with the specs of my car?

There are no DOHC neons after 1999 with the exception of the SRT-4. They are all SOHC rated at 132HP, but the 2000 and up ACR & R/T neons have the magnum engine which is rated at 150HP, but still SOHC.

The motor will fit, but I don't know anyone who has successfully pulled off this swap yet. It won't be easy though. You could use any tranny from a neon but I would suggest the SRT-4 tranny for the sec gen.

Re: Question

I've already had a hard time looking for the motor and tranny, do you know where I can find them?

*edit* Actually looking at the second one, it doens't look like an SRT-4 motor.
