Which models and years have bad engines?

Which models and years have bad engines? some people say they won't buy a Mitsubishi because engines go bad soon, alot don't even make it out of warranty? thanx so much

Well, I came to this board to find information for others who might be having similiar problems. I own a 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander, which I dearly loved. Right up to the point where the engine blew with 28k miles (and under full warranty, though they refuse to fix it.)

I have not heard of a lot of people having problems like that. 2g eclipses got a bad rep, but most of it is
