Re: Eclipse's in the winter

i hear ya! I got terrible tires on. Slide all over the place. Can't hit the gas at all when it snows/rains... also cant go over 3K rpm. I need tires badly.

Re: Eclipse's in the winter

I know what you mean. Here we have had a pretty mild winter but I've still got a taste of it. My car even sucks in the rain, its horrible. I ordered new tires with my rims about a week ago so hopefully that helps me out a bit.

Re: Eclipse's in the winter

I can't afford to pay insurance on 2 cars (let alone the eclipse) as for the new tires I just figured i could suffer through one more month or so

Re: Eclipse's in the winter

Driving with bald tires is fun in the snow. I had about 1/32 (just barely wasnt bald) of tread on my winter rims for two winters. Good fun. I sure appreciate my winter tires though. My dads friends tire shop was going out of business and he had some no name brand (Sigma) tires the fit the Cavy for $50 for the whole set. So that was my christmas present two christmases ago. It was probably the most practical gift I have gotten in a while.

I got a pair of Toyo Proxies 215/40/ZR17s for my b-day 2 years ago. Now that's a badass present.
