Re: 1992 mgm block heater
I think a block heater would be an optional accessory. If the car had one you would see a male electrical plug near the grill or front of vehicle. Im sure you could find at autoanything.com or somewhere similar(autozone) store or website. Basically the block heater is installed in one of the freezeplug holes. If you are mechanically inclined you would have to drain anti-f and remove a freezeplug and install the block heater. I would guess a shop would install one with a flush for about $200.00.

Re: 1992 mgm block heater
its pretty straight forward. first drain coolant. second remove freezeplug on block(get a freezeplug tool from autozone for free use). third install heater/freezeplug element and torque to spec. refill coolant and run electrical extention wires(couple of wire ties). checkout ebay theres one for 20 bucks and 8 bucks shipping. ford part for a newer mustang should be the same part #. call dealer and ask if that is the right part #. GO TO EBAY AND TYPE mustang engine block heater. gl.

Re: 1992 mgm block heater
i think so but i still would check to make sure you get the right internal clearance with the block heater that you get, i believe there are two kinds. I sent the installation instructions and freezeplug removal info to your email heco, Good Luck. Let me know how it comes out i might install one myself.

Re: 1992 mgm block heater
In the past I have seen heaters that install in your radiator hose. Very easy installation.
