Any Major Issues?

My co worker offered me her 99 Alero w/ 72k miles for $2,000.

I look at the maintenance records and all looks good and no accidents.

However, are these cars decent? do they have any problems that they are known for?

Thanks.

Re: Any Major Issues?

If it's in good shape, I would say jump on that. That's a great deal.

A few things that you may encounter: warping dash pad / door panels, bad intake manifold gasket, bad alternator, and bad wheel bearings.

I agree with Jeremy. Sounds like a good deal. But they do have their fair share of problems. I hope we got all of our bugs worked out on our '02 Alero GL2 and just about all was under the bumper to bumper warranty. So far no other problems and it is a solid performer. Good luck!
