Couple Questions On Music System Installation??

We'll I installed my system yesterday and I have to say it sounds pretty damn good considering I'm only running one amp for all speakers, a sub and I haven't even began playing with the settings yet (not to mention this was my first installation). Now im in the process of tweaking the sounds so it sounds just right. I have a few questions however, I'm getting that annoying Wreeeeeeeee.... sound when the volume is low and I press on the gas pedal. Any ideas how I can eliminate this? I made sure to run the Power/lead and the RCA's on opposite sides of each other. Hopefully you guys can assist me on this. Also, In reference to the tweet's do I wire them to the amp or just leave them connected to the head unit?

Lastly, Is there a site I can go to obtain information on Hz, db's etc? My radio (Pioneer DEH-P8600MP) has these slopes where you can customize the Hz and db for the front, rear, sub and While I believe Hz stands for Hertz and db stand for decibels, I fail to understand the complete definition of the two and how exactly they play out in tweaking your music. I'm confused when it comes to that. For example, I want my bass to sounds like, Thump... Thump... Thump... not Brang where as the car sounds like it's rattling when it's not. I know there's a way you can tune it to sound a certain way.

Current System Specs on 99 Spyder GS:
Pioneer DEH-P8600MP (Head Unit)
Pioneer 200W 3way (Front doors)
Pioneer 220W 4way (Rear)
Kicker Solo-Baric L7 10" Subwoofer (Ported Box)
Alphasonik Amp PMZ12005A (5Channel 1200W )

I believe the specs on the alphasonik read,
120watts x 4 @ 2oms + 320watts x 1 @ 2oms

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Couple Questions On Music System Installation??

I had that exact same problem when I installed my system and I couldn't figure it out for a year until, it's VERY annoying. It's because of the remote wire being hooked up the wrong wire (not saying you did anything wrong, it just picks up a signal from the engine). Try playing around with it and connecting it to different power sources and that should work. Maybe try connecting it to the same source as the 12v ignition feed. Good luck :thumbsup"

And for the second question, the12volt.com is an excellent car audio site.

Thanks for the feed "g" as always, its much appreciated. I noticed that my head unit did not have a standard blue wire only a blue/white wire which is what I used to connect the remote wire in addition I also connected the antenna wire to that same blue/white wire. Do you know which wire exactly you tapped into? I'm not exactly a trained installer, I'm a little reluctant on tapping into different wires.

No I don't remember exactly which one I tapped into, it probably wasn't even close to something I was supposed to though because all of my wiring was soo messed up. It's just a trial and error thing until the "whine" goes away.
