which engines in 98

Hi,
A friend was thinking about a 98 K1500 he saw but he had no idea of which engine.
Mine is a 97 with 5.7,
So we are wondering which engines were used in 98?
Also when was the new body style introduced?

Thanks,
Bob B

Re: which engines in 98

A '98 will have one of the following, 4.3l, 5.0l, 5.7l,or 6.5l. They started with the new body style in '99, but did still build some 1500's in the old body in '99. The 2500 hd, and 3500's didn't change until 2002.
