Greddy Reliability

Hey guys im thinking of gettting the Greddy Sp2 exhaust, however i've heard some complaints of it breaking, or bursting, or basically becoming worthless after only a couple 100 miles. Is this true? Are Greddy exhausts notoriously poorly made? Are all aftermarket parts gonna break on me in only a couple of months? Say it aint so!

Re: Greddy Reliability

Greddy is a really good brand, it will not break, end of story.

Re: Greddy Reliability

what do you mean when people said they'll break? i don't know how exhausts break unless the hangers weren't well welded on... don't believe a word they've been telling you, they're probably trying to sell you some knockoff exhaust of the greddy so they can buy the real greddy exhaust. on the other hand you can't go wrong with comptech (the only mods acura sell in their dealerships).

Re: Greddy Reliability

I purchased two GReddy products and they were by far the worste quality products I have ever laid eyes on. 1) was my header. The welds on the inside were horrific and weld metal dripped all throuout the inside of the header. Then it looked like a 5th grader took a brillo pad an attempted to 'smooth' out the inside welds. Plus the gap from the pipe to the flange was several mm..

2) GReddy front lip - my first one fit like a glove. But unfortunately I broke it and had to get another one. This one didnt not have two holes drilled that should have been predrilled. Then the other side did not even bolt up properly without a good mount of modification .. eventually i had to use several zip ties ..

GReddys comments on my issues where not very pleasant and they looked for any reason to not be reliable.

GReddys quality control has gone in the dumps and they have a lot of problems with different products.. But the worste part is how they handle the customer complaints.
