can i mix scychromesh?

okay i got 2 more bottles of scychromesh today..
The guy at the autoparts store said i can Not mix sychromesh with gear lube...
He said hes heard of sychromesh being mixxed with chysler automatic tranny fuild... That mad no sense to me...
What can i mix sychromesh with becuase i know running straight "mesh" is way to thin to protect my tranny w/ 154k on it...

Also i never heard of putting ATF's in a manual tranny is that something new or is the guy at advanced auto on crack?

Re: can i mix scychromesh?

Use either BG Synchroshift or Pennzoil Synchromesh, it should all work just fine. I recommend Synchroshift though, makes shifting a little nicer too.

Re: can i mix scychromesh?

What year and model car do you have?

It was recommended you use 1 quart Redline Shockproof Heavy and the rest synchromesh.

And that's what I use but I'm not sure about non turbo 95-99 tranny's...

That's not an especially great place to have a leak. Make SURE it's leaking from the axle seals on the tranny before you go tearing things apart.
